This is how it works:
You can ride, drive a horse-and-carriage, walk in-hand or any other activity that you can ‘clock up the miles’. All activity counts, hacking, schooling, social rides and more.
Use an app to record your distance, keep a log. You can send in all the miles/kilometres you travel with your horse, each month. The person (category 1) or the Team (Category 2), with the largest accumulation of distance will win the designated category award. This is training for both humans and horses. Exercise together with your horse, get healthier and stronger, be inspired and have fun!
There are two categories with an optional Fun Bonus Element in both
Category 1 – Land’s End to John O’Groats: One rider with one horse.
Category 2 – Team Event Around the UK (2,518 miles): A maximum of 4 in your team, any combination 2 people with 4 horses, 4 people with 4 horses & so on
There is a ‘fun bonus’ element- A selfie treasure hunt. There are 50 items that you have to take a photo with you and your horse included with the item.
