The second day of competition at FYCup 2026 brought more exciting performances as riders continued to showcase their skills.
The PP2 and Trail competitions were completed, with the first winners of the tournament crowned on Thursday night.
In PP2, Franziska Brinkmann and Bifröst frá Brimnesi claimed victory with a score of 6.28, ahead of Klara Schneider with Hrafn frá Ytri-Hofdölum (5.53). Lara Bauer and Yngvi von der Krähenweide completed the podium in third place.
The Trail competition was won by Carlotta Zoll and Viktor fra Søgård, who achieved a score of 8.6. Chiara Erbe and Kveldúlfur frá Miðhjáleigu finished a close second on 8.5, while Maxi Kiara Knop and Hausti von Hofstatt secured third place.
The official Opening Ceremony also took place, celebrating the international spirit of the FYCup and welcoming all participants, officials, volunteers, and supporters to the event.
Later in the day, the tournament programme had to be temporarily paused due to a thunderstorm moving through the area. The safety of riders, horses, officials, and spectators remained the highest priority, and competition resumed once conditions allowed.
Despite the weather interruption, the atmosphere remained positive, and participants continued to enjoy the unique experience of competing and spending the week together at FYCup 2026.
