Prestur goes to Parliament!

General

Prestur frá Borgarnesi paid a visit to the Houses of Parliament in London on 21st April. It was said that Members of Parliament had never smiled so brightly in their place of work when they queued up to introduce themselves to him. Prestur, of course, behaved like the true Chieftain he is, and the MPs showed that even they had hearts which could be won over Prestur’s friendliness and calm, sociable nature. Sturla Sigurjónsson, Ambassador for Iceland to the UK joined the party at Speaker’s Court, Westminster. Prestur has not decided to change his happy rural life for that of a politician. He was there to showcase the value of animal-assisted and community-based support for neurodivergent people and the visit was organized in conjunction with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on ADHD. The aim was  to highlight the strength of neurodiversity and the difference that inclusive, non-clinical environments make to wellbeing, emotional regulation and connection.
