Instruction for reading the chip for judges and organizers at competitions are published

To get correct, validated marks in WorldFengur, there must be no doubt that the rider has brought the correct horse. It is also important for vaccinations. The rider is responsible for proving to have brought the correct horse to the competition.

The identification is done by reading the microchip of the horse and comparing it to the microchip registered in WorldFengur. The equipment check team shall have a list on paper or online, where they can compare the chip numbers quickly after reading the chip. The organizer should have prepared a list of participating horses and their corresponding chip numbers, so these can be compared quickly. It is recommended that, before arriving at a competition site, the rider makes sure the chip is readable and found in their horse.

It is recommended, as this is being introduced, that organizers put the following text in the competition information:
To get valid results, the identity of the horse must be proven. This will be done by reading the microchip of the horse. It is recommended to the riders that they make sure that their horses have readable microchips, before they arrive at the competition place. It is  the responsibility of the rider to proof to have brought the correct horse.

Most farms have chip readers, as do all veterinarians, so this should not be complicated. Chip readers are also not expensive anymore and can easily be bought.
