The IPZV Calendar 2021, equipped with the 12-winning works of the art competition ISLAND(PFERD), can be ordered now. The idea to design the next IPZV calendar with pictures from an art competition arose during the first lock down of the Covid pandemic.
Together with the cooperation partners of the IPZV Art Competition – Horses of Iceland and the Embassy of Iceland – IPZV could expand the competition and reach small and large artists around the world who share one thing: the love of the Icelandic horse or his native Iceland and the joy of art.
From April to the end of July 2020 more than 460 pictures from 16 different countries were sent in and the jury had the difficult task to choose 12 finalists whose works of art were exhibited at the Icelandic Embassy in Berlin and ultimately made it into this calendar. The ART competition ISLAND(PFERD) stands for the motto of the International Federation of Icelandic Horse Association in the best sense of the word: … “unite people in their passion for the Icelandic Horse”!
