The Day of the Icelandic Horse is celebrated in many FEIF member countries on May 1 each year. This event was brought to life by Horses of Iceland. In many countries several activities take place, for example an open house day at the stables, daylong rides to experience the magic of nature with horses, presentations for family and friends who are probably unfamiliar to the breed just to name a few possibilities to experience the fantastic characteristics of our Icelandic horses.
