In addition to the FEIF Conference and the big annual meetings every February, when delegates from each member country come together to discuss developments and trends in the Icelandic horse world, the annual October committee meetings are much smaller. In 2018 they will take place on October 19/20 in Berlin.This is the time when the elected committee members of the 5 “portfolios” of FEIF – Breeding, Education, Leisure Riding, Sport and YouthWork – meet to review past events, and discuss future planning in more detail. Scheduling all committee meetings at the same time also makes it possible for two groups working together on a joint project, such as for example an education seminar focussing on youth, or discussing ways in which sport and breeding rules could be further realigned. This year there will also be a technical workshop for WorldFengur registrars, and the directors of Sport and Breeding will visit the site of the 2019 World Championships.
