The education department had a constructive meeting with very positive discussions, intensive cooperation and results concerning a wide range of educational topics. The cooperation between the countries in educational matters is clearly getting closer. From now on seminars to keep the trainer licenses updated are mandatory for all countries as approved by the Delegates’ Assembly. The details will be published in the 2018 version of the FEIF Rules and Regulations.
Karen Rasmussen and Bert de Rooij did not stand for re-election after many years as committee members, the Education Department thanked them for all their active, valuable contributions and input during all the years. The new members of the committee, elected by the participants of the meeting, are Ulrika Backan from Sweden and Astrid Skou Buhl from Denmark. Both have a professional background in their work with equestrian qualifications and education and we welcome their willingness to contribute to the FEIF education work.
The FEIF Trainer Seminar in Hólar from March 23-25, 2018, with focus on teaching and training is already fully booked, but a waiting list is available.
Future seminars are already planned, e.g. an international seminar for examiners of trainer exams and a cooperation with the FEIF Leisure Department on the riding horse profile.
