This might already be halfway through the week, but today is also the day of the Opening Ceremony, and the introduction of this year’s WC song ‘We run as one’. Flags, music, speeches, and the transfer of the FEIF flag from Denmark, host of the last World Championships, to the Netherlands, who are running the show this year. And what a show it is: 15 FEIF nations are represented here, and the flags of New Zealand and Australia were also presented to remind us that step by step the Icelandic horse is loved around the globe. The show ground and the campsites are getting busier by the hour, excitement is rising, and we are halfway through the preliminary rounds.
