Day 6 – FEIF YouthCamp 2017

July 18 2017 | Youth Work

Day 6 and the last full day of the FEIF Youth Camp in Belgium, and what better way to spend it but at a theme park? All the fun rides, and the scary rides, the high rides, and the wet rides in one place. Screams and laughter, sunshine, ice cream… – you get the picture.
In the evening it was time to come together once more only to (begin to) say our farewells. It has been an amazing week of trying out the familiar and encountering new things, of getting to know a new culture, new food (Belgium is obsessed with chocolate, so it is win-win!), of learning about other horse breeds, including the huge draught horses from the beer production of the olden days (another thing Belgium has to offer!). But most importantly, it has been a week of discovery and of forming trans-European bonds of friendship and mutual understanding, even if we do things differently at home. Thank you Belgium! And if these kids are the future, I think we will all be alright!
