Saturday and day 4 of the FEIF YouthCamp in Belgium. Strangers have become friends, a new generation is beginning to master our very particular brand of ‘Icelandic horse’ English. And did we tell you, we live on the fourth floor of a building without a lift? That means every day about 30 people are climbing 93 steps several times a day. Together we are reaching unimaginable heights for such a flat country.
It is also time to talk about food. We are so lucky to have a wonderful kitchen team under the lead of Lissa van Riel. The food is freshly prepared with great love and skill, and clearly a lot of thought goes into the planning of each meal. Food and drink are a very important part when meeting another culture, and we are surely treated to the best of Belgian here. Thank you!!!
Today it was time for teams to swap location again, riding out, carriage driving and tölt training with Iris Lavigne were on the agenda. And in the evening we got to know our host town Sint-Truiden a whole lot better.
