It is a tradition to ride from the last World Championships venue to the next World Championship location, this year from Herning in Denmark via Germany to Oirschot in the Netherlands.
The idea is to connect the leisure riders worldwide and to bring a message of understanding and friendship. The baton with the message was handed over from the Danish relay riders to the German riders on July 2, 2017 and the next handover is scheduled for July 29, when the Dutch relay riders take over.
