The 17th international FEIF YouthCamp will be hosted in Sint-Truiden, Belgium from July 11-18, 2017. The main focus on this FEIF YouthCamp will be on carriage driving and heavy horse culture.
Belgium is known for its heavy horses and their huge capacity of pulling incredible loads. Participants will get a chance to spend a day out on a carriage, see a spectacular demo of our Belgian draft horses, and maybe even give driving a go themselves. This YouthCamp will also feature courses on riding and the welfare of the horse from inspirational speakers and teachers. Participants will not only spend time at the GO-internaat in Sint Truiden, but they will also pay a visit to a medieval Flemish city. Flanders has a rich history that the Belgisch Stamboek voor IJslandse Paarden vzw (BSIJP vzw) of course would like to share. A visit to an amusement park will also be on the programme, as well as many other fun activities! Invitations to register for the FEIF YouthCamp 2017 will be sent out in due time, please contact the Youth Work department of your association.
