This year FEIF introduces the first Leisure Riding Month where we invite all countries to organise riding tours and other events for leisure riders. WIth this we are following the example of Germany where a tour riding week has already been organised for the last few years in September.
Any leisure rider is an ambassador for the entire horse community. The whole Icelandic horse community will be judged on how individuals behave and treat their horses.
Especially in areas, where access to ride in nature has become more restricted it is important to bear this in mind. Every rider can contribute in good or bad ways. By following the standard all leisure riders can be good ambassadors for the Icelandic horse and the Icelandic horse community.
