Members of the European Horse Network (EHN) did meet several Members of the European Parliament (MEP’s) on March 2, 2016 to discuss initiatives to understand how guidance on responsible ownership can improve the health and welfare of equines. The British MEP Julie Girling proposed a so called Own Initiative Report on Responsible Equine Ownership, one of the first steps to put horses on the agenda of the EP.
FEIF is one of the founding members of EHN and was represented at the meeting.
