Icelandic rider suspended for a period of four years

October 12 2015 | General

The Icelandic rider Þorvaldur Árni Þorvaldsson has been suspended by a decision of the National Olympic Committee and Sports Federation of Iceland to ban the rider based on a positive drug test at the Reykjavíkurmeistaramóti Fáks in May.
The rider is suspended for a period of 4 years, starting June 12, 2015 and ending June 12, 2019. The results of breeding shows and sport events for the rider involved are cancelled for events in that period and the rider is removed from the WorldRanking and national rankings.
Based upon the rules of FEIF this ban is also mandatory for all other FEIF member countries.
