The FEIF YouthCamp 2015 was hosted by Germany and run by Angela and Erec Huetter. 24 young people from 8 countries, including Alaska, came together in the beautiful surroundings of Reitschule Berger in Berlar.
Highlights included riding lessons with Jolly Schrenk and Silke Feuchthofen, a visit to Warendorf and a trip into one of the many mines of the Sauerland. Framing the programme was a circus workshop run by Ulla Fehse, which culminated in a magnificent one hour performance in
which all kids participated, be that as an acrobat, a juggler or fire artist.
The aim of the FEIF Youth Camp is to bring young Icelandic horse riders from all over the world together, to introduce them to the horse culture of the host country and to foster international friendship. The camp in Berlar achieved all of this – and lots more – in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. On behalf of FEIF, I would like to congratulate the organisers for running a hugely successful event, and I want to express our warmest thanks to everyone who made this possible.
