Successful Sport Judges Seminar

March 26 2015 | Sport

The World Championship judges met in Malmö to prepare for the main event of 2015: the World Championships in Herning. 15 Judges, chief judge Þorgeir Guðlaugsson and deputy chief judge Einar Ragnarsson concentrated on judging horse/rider combinations in all possible set-ups and this speed-dating among the participants turned out to be a very good and instructive approach to come to results along the generally valid guidelines from all possible perspectives.
The second part of the seminar weekend was open for all international FEIF sport judges. A workshop by Christian Zepp, a sport psychologist from the sport university in Köln, on psychological effects in judging and the set-up of judges teams and the new vet-check forms presented by Susanne Braun were the main topics of this well-organised seminar.
In the third and last part of the seminar all judges participated in a kind of model test where they had to answer questions and comment on general rules, practical situations, new rules like prohibited equipment and many other important topics in the field of judging.
