The results of the survey on characteristics of Icelandic horses for leisure riding were finally communicated. More than 3000 riders responded to the survey in 2014. Participants were asked about the main use, the picture of the ideal leisure horse and its character and size and the importance of health and tölt.
This survey will now be the basis for continued work to develop a test of the preferred characteristics in cooperation with Icelandic universities.
