The FEIF Award Youth Country of 2014 went to Finland – congratulations! The panel of judges were unanimous in their decision that youth work in Finland distinguishes itself not only by promoting good riding and good horsemanship. Over and above, organising regular activities, aimed at the broad membership and the future sport elite alike, Finland also has a range of exciting fundraising ideas. But perhaps most important of all, the leadership of youth work in Finland places a strong emphasis on social cohesion and mutual support amongst the young people, with a clear aim of promoting fairness, good sportsmanship, and social cohesion. Their motto: Encourage a friend! To read the winning report and the other entries for 2014 follow the link to the FEIF website.
