We are delighted to welcome the growing number of riders who have joined the (virtual) ride From here to Herning https://www.feif.org/LeisureRiding/VirtualRide.aspx. The last few days saw New Zealand, France and Switzerland joining the ranks of now 11 countries which are represented. Christchurch NZ is a cool 18,000 km away from Herning, and NZ might need some (virtual) support to make it all the way over the next 8 months.
The idea is that registered riders submit the total kms they covered riding out and about over a month, and accumulation of the ridden kms over time will carry them towards Herning in time for the World Championships. Entry is free. Join in, form a team, and become part of the Icelandic horse community which spends the winter months moving ever closer to the calendar highlight of 2015.
