EHN, the European Horse Network, has published its May 2013 newsletter. The newsletter contains information about activities in the European horse world (including Icelandic horses) and about contacts between EHN and members of the European Parliament. Current topics related to European poltics are: the impact of the current economic situation on horses, the EU Animal Welfare Strategy and the benefits for horses, the transport of high health horses, the impact of the horse meat scandal.
The aim of EHN is to promote the development of the horse sector in Europe and to act as a platform for the horse industry in relation to European institutions and media. FEIF is one of the founding members of EHN.
