The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority (MAST) would like to convey the following information to all visitors that plan on riding horseback in Iceland:
Importing used riding equipment and used riding gloves to Iceland is strictly prohibited. There are no exceptions to this rule. However, used riding clothes other than gloves can be brought to Iceland if they have received proper disinfection.
