The Board of Foroyskt Íslandsrossafelag (FÍR, Faroe Islands) has notified the Board of FEIF that Leif Berg has been banned from events from February 18, 2012 until February 18, 2014. The ban is due to attacking and threatening competition staff and disrespect for rules. FEIF has been informed in accordance to article 3.2 of FIPO.
For FEIF this means that the rider is banned from participation in any event for the period indicated. Article 3 of the Statutes of FEIF implies that the ban has to be accepted and adhered to by all member associations.
By consequence Leif Berg is not allowed to participate in any event (including sport and breeding) until February 18, 2014, hosted or approved by any member association of FEIF.
