IHSGB’s youth leader Kirsty Carson warmly greeted 31 participants (and 7 leaders) coming from 13 different member countries upon arrival yesterday to the FEIF Youth Camp 2011. The FYCamp takes place about a half hour drive south from Edinburgh, on the Scottish outdoor education centre at Broomlee. The centre is beautifully situated on the Pentland Hills.
Yesterday was the arrival day and those arriving early had a day on a nearby real Scottish farm before it was time for the opening of the FYCamp and getting together activities. The participants are divided into four international teams which are: The famous one, 8-gaited, Pure awesomeness and Happy hooves.
On today’s agenda are riding lessons for the FEIF judge, the WC rider as well as internationally very well known British horse trainer Fi Pugh (also former FEIF board member).
