FEIF joined the newly established European Horse Network as one of the founding members. The aims of the network are to exchange views on political developments affecting the horse sector in Europe, to discuss and define common interests on the political agenda, to discuss and define technical and R&D issues of common interest to move for development of the horse sector in Europe, to increase the visibility and impact of the horse sector in Europe and horse welfare in all its aspects.
The European Horse Network will organize a conference in autumn 2010 in Brussel (B). The target participants are members of parliament, as well as other politicians and officials. This conference main task is to state the economic importance of the horse industry within the EU, together with the social opportunities that the industry creates and makes available to the society.
