The Board of Svenska Islandshästförbundet (SIF) has notified the Board of FEIF that the rider Madelen Johanson has been banned from competitions from February 5, 2010 until July 31, 2011. The ban is due to controversial training methods. FEIF has been informed in accordance to article 3.2 of FIPO.
For FEIF this means that the rider is banned from participation in any event for the period indicated. Article 3 of the Statutes of FEIF implies that the ban has to be accepted and adhered to by all member associations.
By consequence Madelen Johanson is not allowed to participate in any event (including sport and breeding) until July 31, 2011, hosted or approved by any member association of FEIF.
