The Board of Landssamband Hestamannafélaga (IS) has notified the Board of FEIF that the rider Þórður Þorgeirsson has been banned from competitions for a period of nine month as from August 3, 2009. The ban is due to a breach of discipline. FEIF has been informed in accordance to article 3.2 of FIPO.
For FEIF this means that the rider is banned from participation in any event for the period indicated. Article 3 of the Statutes of FEIF implies that the ban has to be accepted and adhered to by all member associations.
By consequence Þórður Þorgeirsson is not allowed to participate in any event (including sport and breeding) until May 3, 2010, hosted or approved by any member association of FEIF.
