FIPO Changes 2008

February 18 2008 | Sport

The FEIF Delegates’ Assembly 2008 in Reykjavík (IS) approved of changes in FIPO. The most important changes are:
– the harmonisation between FIPO and Sport Judges’ Guidelines, so ‘tempo’ will be replaced by ‘speed’ and ‘working tempo’ into ‘slow (speed)’;
– the separate marks for seat and aid in oval track classes will disappear;
– the change of horses between riders in the finals of Four Gait V4 will no longer take place;
– specific rules will be valid for training of horses on competition grounds.
There are also other, minor changes. These changes will be valid for sport events starting on or after April 1, 2008. FIPO 6.8 will be published before that date.
