The Board of FEIF did receive 4 applications for the World Championships 2011: two from Austria and two from Germany. One Austrian location is Klagenfurt, the Hypo Group Arena, one of the places for the European Championships for football in 2008. The other location is Islandpferde Reithof Piber in St. Radegund (OÖ), the venue of the FEIF YouthCup 2006. One German location is Berlin, the Mayfield in the Olympiapark, during the Olympic Games the place for polo and dressage events. The other location is Köln, the Kölner Sportstätten RheinEnergie Stadion, a football stadium surrounded by several other sport facilities.
