Reithof Neckertal, the venue of the Icelandic Horse World Championship 2009, has won the Toggenburger Innovation Award. This price is awarded every third year to economic businesses in the region of Toggenburg, Switzerland, which come up with new ideas, products or solutions. Well-known patrons support this event, such as the Economic Agency of St. Gallen, Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, Junior Chamber, Business & Professional Women. The guiding idea of this year was ‘Visions ignite Innovations’. The concept of the Icelandic Horse World Championship in Brunnadern impressed the jury so much that it awarded Reithof Neckertal and the concept of the World Championships 2009 alongside internationally active companies. The Icelandic horse world can be proud of this recognition, evidence of the importance of the Icelandic Horse and the well thought-out concept of the whole event.
