Prohibited equipment

June 16 2006 | Sport

Upon request of FEIF International Sport Judges the Sport Committee decided to add Myler Combination bits with long or short shanks to the list of prohibited equipment. This type of bit combines bitless techniques (hackamore) with a bit and is designed as a training bit. Pictures can be found at the FEIF website: www.feif.org/equipment. The Sport Committee also decided to allow for a period for riders and judges to adapt to this rule: the bits are prohibited as of July 12, 2006.
