After 18 years in the Board of FEIF, Eva-Maria Gerlach stepped down as FEIF Director of Youth Work. Eva-Maria has been the major driving force after the FEIF Youth Camp and the FEIF Youth Cup, the specific tests for young riders (now included in FIPO as general sport tests for all age classes) and the special attention for Young Riders at World Championships.
FEIF President Tone Kolnes awarded her with the golden FEIF pin, only awarded at very special occasions to very special persons. She also did receive a glass plate with an engraved FEIF logo.
The Board of FEIF also decided to establish the Eva-Maria Gerlach Award for Young Riders, to be handed out the first time at the FEIF Youth Cup 2006 in Austria.
