Important change of vaccination rules

February 16 2005 | General

FEIF follows the rules for vaccination against equine influenza set by FEI, the International Equestrian Federation (FIRO 1.3).
As of January 2005, vaccination against equine influenza will be mandatory every six months (in stead of twelve). The year 2005 will be used to educate riders by means of warnings in the passport; only in 2006 riders will be punished (by exclusion of events) if a horse is not properly vaccinated. The current Veterinary Regulations of FEI are available from the service section of the FEIF website: www.feif.org/service.
