Iceland switches to FIPO

October 29 2004 | Sport

The Annual Meeting of LH, the Icelandic member association of FEIF, responsible for sport and gæðingakeppni in Iceland, agreed on October 30, 2004, to replace the national rules for sport events in Iceland by the international FIPO rules. FEIF considers this as a major step forward in the harmonisation of rules in all 18 member countries and congratulates all horse people in Iceland.
The next step will be a further integration of the Icelandic rules for gæðingakeppni in FIPO. As a start, these rules have been translated already into English. They are available from the service section of the FEIF website. A meeting between FEIF and LH about this subject took place on for November 5, 2004 in Reykjavík.
