Changes in FIPO

September 23 2002 | Sport

The FEIF Delegates’ Asssembly decided September 21-22, 2002 in Vienna upon several changes in FIPO. Those changes have been proposed by the Annual Sport Meeting (the sport leaders of all member countries). All proposals have been accepted.
The most important changes are the removal of Free Style as a discipline at World Championships, time keeping in Pace Race in hundreds of seconds in stead of tenths of seconds, correction of hand stopped times before they are used as World Records or in the WorldRanking and further regulations concerning the International Register of Warnings.
All changes are valid as of January 1, 2003. The new version of FIPO will be available for free download in December. The national sport leaders in the member countries have received detailed information about the changes and the consequenses for national rules recently.
