Open Dutch Championships cancelled

July 17 2002 | Sport

The Open Dutch Championships (Wedstrijden Zuid, July 26-28, 2002) had to be cancelled just one week before the start. The reason is the eruption of glanders at several places in the Netherlands, including the area where the championships are planned. Organisers and NSIJP (the Dutch member organisation of FEIF) didn’t consider it wise to take any risk spreading the disease even more.
NSIJP still has to decide if there will be an alternative at another date or another location.
