In a recent meeting, the Board of FEIF decided to establish a new prize: the FEIF Feather Prize. The aim of this prize is to encourage good riding and good horsemanship, a tribute to feather light riding.
The FEIF Feather Prize will be awarded once a year on a specific event to a specific rider. This year, the first International Youth Competition in Herning, Denmark (May 31-June 2) was selected.
Upon advise from the judges at the competition, the Danish Young Rider Stephanie Nielsen was awarded with this prize. Stephanie did compete with two horses (Sikill frá Hofi and Rák f. Mel) in different youth classes.
The prize (in stone, engraved with a feather and the FEIF logo) was handed to her by FEIF President Tone Kolnes and FEIF Youth Leader Eva-Maria Gerlach.
